February 9 marks the 579th anniversary of the birth of the great founder of the Uzbek language, Alisher Navoi. Various events are held in Samarkand on this date. Alisher Navoi, being a great representative of the Eastern Renaissance, is a prominent figure in the history of world civilization, especially in the development of the cultural and spiritual life of Turkic-speaking peoples. Samarkand Regional Music and Drama Theater took part in the literary and musical evening “Navoi Nazmi Shaidosiman”, organized by the 62nd special boarding school for children with disabilities. At the event, the pupils of the boarding school read the Navoi gazelles.
