At the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh. Mirziyoyev, the regions of our republic were attached to the districts of Karakalpakstan, and have been helping the socio-economic development of the region. According to this initiative, the Samarkand region is helping to further develop the Nukus district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan based on its experience. On October 16, 2022, regional activists led by the governor of Samarkand region, Erkinjon Turdimov, officials of a number of enterprises and organizations, representatives of culture and art participated in the commissioning ceremony of new facilities built in Nukus district. A group of creators of the Samarkand regional musical drama theater took part in the cultural and educational programs held within the framework of socio-economic development activities.
