SEASON 108 OPENER (PHOTO REPORTATION).
On October 4, a festive event was held in connection with the opening of the 108th season of the Samarkand Regional Musical Drama Theater. Director of the theater Iskandar Sultanov opened the event and spoke about the history of the theater, its achievements and shortcomings, plans ahead and the attention paid to this field by our state today. Valijon Umarov, the deputy head of the cultural department of Samarkand region, and Botir Tugalov, the director of the Kattakoorgan city drama theater, who took part in the opening of the season, specially recognized the achievements of the theater artists and warmly congratulated the team on the opening of the new season. After that, the play "Ishq Bostani" (based on A. Navoi's "Lison ut-tayr" (staged by Sh. Muradov)) staged by Shuhrat Sanakulov, the chief director of the theater, was shown.
